Speaker Bios

Ellie Moss, Executive Director, Perpetual

Ellie Moss has extensive experience developing environmental strategies for corporations, investors and nonprofit organizations. Moss began her work with The Boston Consulting Group and spent six years with Blu Skye Sustainability Consulting before founding Moss & Mollusk Consulting, where she worked with clients on accelerating the shift to the circular economy. Now, she is a co-founder and the executive director of Perpetual, a nonprofit working to accelerate the transition to the reuse economy. Moss has a dual degree in economics and public policy from Brown University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Stephanie Thomas, Co-President and Co-Owner, Cascadia Consulting Group

Stephanie Thomas is the co-president and a co-owner of Cascadia Consulting Group. She brings over 15 years of experience with all aspects of sustainability outreach, engagement and behavior change programs – from research, planning and design all the way to implementation, marketing, management and evaluation. Thomas is the consultant project manager for the Reuse Seattle initiative, a partnership led by the city of Seattle that helps restaurants, cafes and entertainment venues move away from single-use food and beverage containers.

Tim Debus, President and CEO, Reusable Packaging Association

Tim Debus advances the common business interests of member companies in the global trade association for the reusable transport packaging industry. He advocates for systems of packaging reuse to achieve superior distribution of goods, supply chain innovation and efficiencies, and circular economy objectives for product value creation, waste elimination and natural resource conservation.

Nancy Justice, Senior Vice President – North America, Pact Retail Associates

Nancy Justice is an experienced professional in reuse and sustainability, with a focus on the plastic and packaging industries. Justice is currently senior vice president of North American operations for the Pact Retail Accessories division of the Pact Group. Before joining the Pact Group, she was vice president of sustainability at Braiform, where she managed and further developed global reuse programs for retail. Justice works on the Reuse Workstream as part of the US Plastics Pact to help drive the circular economy forward.

Caroline Vanderlip, Founder and CEO, Re:Dish

Caroline Vanderlip has launched businesses within parent companies, such as CNBC and AT&T Personal Online Services, as well as independent entities such as SharedBook, a publishing technology company. Vanderflip is now focused on sustainability and the huge impact that Re:Dish can have as it supports a shift from a linear to a circular economy.

Olivia Merritt, Program Coordinator, U.S. Plastics Pact

Olivia Merritt recently graduated from North Carolina State University with a major in natural resources policy and administration. For three years, she worked for the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, where she managed a six-year research project on breeding bird habitats. Merritt has used her scientific and writing skills to create climate change-related content and circular economy solutions for other nonprofit organizations. Now, she is applying her communications and technical talents to project management for the U.S. Plastics Pact.
