Megan Lane, Manager of Circularity & Public Affairs, Ball Corporation

Megan Lane is the circularity and public affairs manager for the Ball Corporation. She has over ten years of experience in the sustainable materials management and environmental industry. Joining Ball in 2021, Lane leads strategy development and execution of recycling policy, aiming to increase aluminum recycling rates and foster circular economies across North and Central America. Previously, Lane worked at the city and county of Denver for five years, where she managed projects, developed frameworks and policies, and led strategic initiatives. Lane also has experience in consulting on municipal solid waste and managing sustainability programs for venues and arenas.

Megan Daum, Vice President of Sustainability, American Beverage Association

Megan Daum is the vice president of sustainability at the American Beverage Association, where she oversees the industry’s sustainability programs, policies and activities. Prior to joining ABA, Daum was the vice president of sustainability at the Can Manufacturers Institute, where she headed the sustainability program for thirteen years. She has also sat on various U.S. and international committees on packaging, policy and sustainability.

Sally Jefferson, Director – Western States, Wine Institute

Sally Jefferson is the Director of the Western States Region for the Wine Institute, a public policy association representing over 1000 California wineries. Jefferson directs the institute’s state government relations efforts in Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Washington, dealing with a myriad of issues ranging from packaging and environmental sustainability to product distribution and taxation. Jefferson has been with the Wine Institute since 2010 and oversaw a region that spanned from New York to the Dakotas before taking on her current assignment in 2022.

Jules Bailey, President and CEO, Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative

Jules Bailey is president and CEO of the Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative (OBRC), which runs the BottleDrop program in Oregon and provides technology to other deposit systems. Bailey is responsible for charting the future of bottle bill implementation and ensuring the deposit and redemption system remains convenient, relevant and effective for Oregonians – and efficient for industry. OBRC is committed to a world where no resource is wasted.
